- What makes a defective character?
A defective character is a character that has no real direction in life and is basically going on a downward spiral. There are many things that could make people like this for example they could have been bullied so much that they turn into a complete stranger and exclude themselves from the world
- When do you start having a defective character, and when do you stop having a defective character?
As soon as we are born we have evil and sinful tendencies that are bound to eventually come out and show everyone that you are evil. But thankfully Jesus Christ has come and died for us so we may be washed clean of all our sins.
When we have been saved by the Lord all our flaws have been erased and we will no longer have the urge of our evil tendencies. And our evil character will soon be covered with our good motives
- Describe the process that starts the defective character and the process that stops it?
The process that starts the defective character is first the investigative judgment which examines our character so we need to have a clear understanding of how the character works and to see if we have a good character. The investigative judgment uses the law as guidelines to judge our character.
The process that stops our defective character is death once we are dead we can no longer sin although it is possible to not sin as much, but we still have those sins from before and the sins that have been passed down through generations. Jesus died for us therefore if we accept him as our lord and savior and do our best to sin no longer then on judgment day he will claim us as his children and our sins will be erased.
- How do you go about building your character?
To build up your character you must constantly receive the Holy Spirit by studying the word and memorizing it in the subconscious by a continuous repetition of the word.
- Name the workmen that you use to get the job done?
The tools you use to get this done is by using your mental gifts-
Reason, Judgment, Understanding, Memory, Moral powers, Conscience, Will, Self-control, Faith, Hope, and Love
- Is there any aspect of the building contract that you can’t do yourself, and who do you subcontract it out to?
When building your character you need to be able to trust others that they will do there part in this process for example if you hurt some one then you apologize and they do not forgive you then you still feel bad and this is not good because to grow your character further you need to move foreword and not be stuck worrying about what you did a long time ago.
So we sub-contract it out to our friends and those around us.
- When you get to the judgment, why would you decide you needed to go to the marriage, before entering the time of trouble?
When we get to the judgment we will see how great God is so we will want to go to the marriage and God wants us to do it his way and after all he has done for us we will want to do it his way also.
- How could your understanding of character make you apart of those who believe in spiritualistic theories?
If we were to fall into Satan’s trap and be over come by his “spiritualistic” religion which is what he wants us to do we could no longer gave our relationship with God and we could no longer have eternal life.
Cam, I understand that you were not here all first semester, so you don’t have all the same background information as the other students who were here the whole time. So you are going to have to compensate by reading your lesson post very carefully, and maybe even talking to some of your classmates, like say, Jonathan Sharley or Jeremy, Robby, or David Chang over the specific points that are to be covered in this post. So reread your lesson post very carefully, get some explanations, if needed from classmates, and rewrite this post.
